Theme Cine Club Film-making
Many film collections made by amateur cine societies from the region are held in the archive. Collections include films made by societies in Sevenoaks, Brighton, Bognor Regis and Haywards Heath amongst others. The cine societies often made films recording local events of importance such as royal visits, storms, carnivals, and current fashions. The making of short amateur fiction films were also a feature of many of these societies.

Symphony of the Seasons
Seasonal imagery of English nature has been edited into a linear format, tracing the passing of a year. Intertitles quoting lines of classical poetry introduce the different scenes.
Local News Film
A compilation of local news and events in and around Bognor Regis including; sporting activities and games, a beauty contest and gymkhana, the 1936 Carnival, several charity fetes, armistice day, an air show, the 1937 Aldershot Tattoo, a wedding, a talent competition and a Zeppelin flying over the town.
Regis Review 
A compilation of local news and events in and around Bognor Regis including; the opening of new town buildings, a house on fire, fitness classes and sports, fancy dress and beauty competitions, the town carnival and Coronation procession. The items have been edited together at a later date; intertitles introduce each item.

A short test film produced by the Bognor Regis Film Society in the making of a longer fiction film entitled Cross Currents. The film, recorded on location in a harbour, opens with members of the society in medium close-up talking to each other. Following this, scenes from the film are seen being acted out on board a tall sailing ship. The full film can be found on TID: 9871 - "Cross Currents".

The Eltham Cine Society film a humourous account of a holiday at Mawgan Porth in Cornwall. The group of friends play act for the camera at their holiday home and on the beach. The group visit the cliff rocks at Bedruthan Steps and go climbing. Back on the beach the friends play at doing fitness exercises and, back at the house, play various games.
Film by members of the Eltham Cine Society of a trip to Innsbruck, showing; scenes around the town, swimming and table tennis at a Lido, and a climb to the summit of Mount Serles.
Amateur fiction film by Etham Cine Society about a couple held prisoner by 'thugs'. One of the prisoners gives a distress signal in morse code and the couple are rescued by a group of boy scouts.
The Shooting of Dan McGrew; Day Trips for Hikers
Two amateur comedy dramas from the Eltham Cine Society. The first tells a story of a murderer who is captured, escapes and is captured again. The second has a group of walkers encounter mishaps as they take a picnic.
A behind-the-scenes look at cinema projection, produced in the late 1930s, during which a projectionist demonstrates the art of 'making up the program'.

In this film by an unknown amateur film-maker made in 1938, Blackheath Film News receive an invitation to a wedding and set about preparing to film the event. Scenes filmed outside the church and while the bridesmaids and bride prepare to leave for the church are included.

Amateur fiction film about a Hollywood actress 'Rita Marblo' who visits Bognor Regis but hides from the press. Two plucky reporters from the local newspaper try a number of scams to get an interview or a photograph. They finally get an exclusive picture of her departing by air.
Death Let Loose
A fiction film about a scientist kidnapped by a group of Russian mobsters. A secret formula is stolen and espionage is suspected. A policeman is knocked out and later found dead on a beach. The scientist is forced to hand over the formula to the Russian mob, but a raid leads to the mob being caught in the act. This film is heavily damaged in the first part of the film.
