This titled and narrated amateur film shows a visit to Exmouth, the Dart Valley Railway and the Bicton Woodland Railway. The second section explores Bicton Gardens with children playing among the flower beds and lawns. Scenes of the fountains and statues are followed by views of the "Woolwich" engine on a railway rack. This film shows a family trip to Whipsnade Zoo, visiting the animal enclosures and habitats. Close-ups of the animals include the Indian elephants, Serval cat, marsupials, brown bear, zebra, Bengal tiger, polar bear, camel, llama, giraffe, several species of primate, and penguins.

[Longleat Wildlife Park; Fishbourne; Lake District]

Shots from a car show Lions roaming at Longleat Wildlife Park as cars pass in the background followed by two bear cubs. Groups of people stand talking on a roadside, before boarding a coach. Images follow of the family visiting Fishbourne Roman Palace, viewing a tesserae floor mosaic and a human skeleton. The family pet dogs and a foal, is followed by scenes outside the family home. The film finishes with scenes of the family on holiday in the Lake District.

This film with animated titles, shows a family outing to London Zoo. The family visit several of the animal enclosures and habitats including the Polar and brown bears, the Penguin Pool designed by Berthold Lubetkin, Bengal tiger enclosure, and watch a baby goat (?) being born.

It Was Worth Every Penny; Holiday in Hungary

An amateur travelogue film of a family holiday to Hungary, showing Budapest and [not included in clip] Lake Balaton. The film shows the Hungarian Parliament building, Budapest Zoo & Botanical Gardens, Heroes' Square, the Museum of Fine Arts, Fisherman's Bastion and the Liberty Statue.
