Kinderdorf Pestalozzi Trogen
A film composed of two sections. The first is a series of stills arranged into a narrative which tells the story of the Pestalozzi village at Trogen in Switzerland. The second, includes modern-day scenes from the village and is intersected with facts about village life.
This promotional film examines the different approaches to Pestalozzi education around the world. The film is constructed around a play, performed by a Swiss theatre group who act out scenes from the life of Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi. A narrator, assuming the part of Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, comments on the different approaches to Pestalozzi education as seen in Japan, England, Switzerland, Brasil and Burkina Faso.
