This film shows the Reed family making preparations to celebrate King George V Silver Jubilee with intercut shots of The Royal Landau passing the Austin Reed Store on Regent Street and Pathe film of the procession. The next part shows a family at the seaside and in the garden. Scenes at an air display feature amateur aircraft including a Le Pou du Ciel HM. 14.

[C.M.C.C Meeting - Chichester Motor Cycle Club]

This film shows members of the Chichester Motor Cycle Club meeting in a village, to then compete in riding through muddy lanes and fields, in the countryside. One motorcycle gets stuck in the mud and others help to pull it out. The motorcycles splutter and smoke as they are put through their paces. Filmed by Ernest Shippam in 1933.

Cowes Week

This black and white intertitled film provides highlights of J-Class, 12-metre and 8-metre yachts and smaller boats at Cowes week - a sailing regatta held in the Solent off the coast of the Isle of Wight along with the launching of Endeavour a J-class yacht from the Camper and Nicholsons shipyard in Gosport.

This film contains dark scenes of competitors in the motorcar and motorcycle speed trials at Gatwick; family scenes filmed by Mr Williams in Rottingdean, showing a crowd gathered outside the film-maker's shop and on the beach with the children; plus a brief shot of the front of the town hall, and a young woman posing for the camera.

[Scouting Voyage on the SS Calgaric]

This film shows a voyage by Lord and Lady Baden-Powell visiting troops and companies of Scouts and Guides as they cruise the Baltic on the SS Calgaric for an ‘Argosy of Peace’. The film includes scenic views of the nations visited, with welcome parades and greetings by dignitaries, national costumes and uniforms, speeches, processions, dances, games and meals.

Austria

This edited and intertitled travelogue film shows a cruise from Folkestone, England to the Stubai Valley, near Innsbruck, in Austria. The film also includes descriptive intertitles highlighting local agricultural processes, regional customs, and traditional Tyrolean dress. The film shows views of the rural mountainous villages of Mieders and Fulpmes in Tyrol. The final section shows the film-makers returning to the UK via ship.
