[Royal Naval Review; Empire Air Day]
This black and white and Dufaycolor edited film shows the Royal Naval Review July 16th 1935 in Spithead near Portsmouth to mark the Silver Jubilee anniversary of HM The King, George V. The second film shows an R.A.F event (possibly Empire Air Day, or another event in 1936 or 1937 ?).

This film shows several officers meeting each other on a RAF base (Tangmere?) dressed in flight suits and uniforms. The officers are then seen messing about on an airfield and climbing on the wing of a Gloster Gladiator. The officers may be from RAF 1 and/or 43 Squadron based at Tangmere Airfield (?). The film is very dark in parts.

[Tangmere Aircraft films]
This amateur film shot by Flight Lieutenant Bernard Hammond features three Royal Air Force related events. The first is the last air show to be held at RAF Tangmere; the second is with the Air Training Corps gliding at Tangmere and the third is an Area Youth Parade at Chichester. The different events are denoted in the film by the use of handwritten intertitles.

This short amateur film includes shots of deer at Warnham Park, motorcar racing at Goodwood, aeroplanes near the former RAF Tangmere airfield, and Leonardslee Gardens near Horsham. The film also briefly shows members of the Furber family (?) as they watch the aeroplanes at Tangmere.

The Mayor of Chichester, Bob Stephens, attends numerous civic events in the town including church services, parades and school sports days. Most notably, the film captures the tenth anniversary of the twinning with Chartres and the giving of the Freedom of the City to Royal Air Force Tangmere.
