Filmed during the 1930s, this silent film features the Horsham and District Motorcycle and Light Car Club at various events in south east England. Motorcycle races and car rallies are seen in mostly rural settings with spectators watching from a distance. The film includes a number of intertitles denoting the events with when and where they took place.
Scotland June 1929
Two reels of amateur film with intertitles which chronicle a motoring holiday through the Highlands of Scotland. The holidaymakers explore the rugged landscape in three chauffeur-driven cars, stopping to watch the herring catch being unloaded at Oban and ending their trip in Edinburgh.

This short film entitled: "Cattle for shipment at Derby" shows a heard of Cattle being led from a field down a rural track road, to a large shipment container or railway carriage (next to a railway line?) at a farmstead in Derby. Following an intertitle: "On the 'Centaur", the final sequence shows a couple boarding a ship, followed by a brief shot of the couple on deck smoking cigarettes.

This film shows Violette (Violet) Cordery relaxing before her time-trial attempt (with sister Evelyn). This is followed by film of a bi-plane (Vickers Vilderbeast N230) at Brooklands. Scenes follow of the time trial of the Invicta car.

A poetic, atmospheric amateur film which presents images of the Kent countryside. The film-maker often uses quick, rhythmic editing to cut between images of clouds, wind blowing in the trees, wildflowers, waves lapping a pebble beach, and fast-flowing rivers. The film ends with shots of an orchard in blossom.
A shot of a village pond is followed by a sequence of microscopic images that show in detail the creatures which inhabit the waters. The creatures, now housed in petri-dishes, include water fleas, fly lava and a hydra. The film has explanatory intertitles.

The next section shows the Coronation Scot rail service from Euston to Glasgow. Black and White and Colour footage shows family scenes on a camping holiday and in a domestic garden.

The first half of this amateur film was shot in 1930 in a town centre; a mother pushing a pram features, as well as a car rally and a visiting circus. In the countryside, gliders are seen in the air. The second half, filmed some 34 year later features children of the Mumford family at home and in the countryside playing in the snow; the family are also seen on a trip to Ashdown Forest (?).
