[Bognor Day Trippers; Trooping the Colour]

A short film made by members of the Bognor Regis Film Society during the 1920s. The first part shows day-trippers visiting Bognor Regis and the second part features scenes of Trooping the Colour in London.

Arundel [Swanbourne Lake]

This short intertitled film begins shots of busy traffic on a street in Arundel in the 1920s. Several motorbikes and cars pass by. The film then shows people feeding swans and peacocks on Swanbourne Lake. The image is somewhat muddy and dark.

[Seafront Promenade]

This short film contains scenes of Bognor seafront, a couple walking on the prom and everyday street traffic with pedestrians. The image is somewhat grainy.

[The Canterbury Tour]

A titled film showing a series of Canterbury street scenes filmed from a moving vehicle in this professional film, starting at West Gate and travelling eastwards along the High Street, passing the cattle market on Upper Bridge Street.

[Violette Cordery Motoring World Tour]

This multi-reel film shows a series of stops on a World Tour by Miss Violette (Violet) Cordery, an English female motorist travelling in an Invicta car travelling 10.266 miles, by road and sea. The tour includes UK; France; North Africa; India, Australia; USA, and Canada. [Only Reel 1 is shown in the online clip].

This film shows Mr John Ahearn in his Invicta car [YE 7682] on the the Motor Cycling Club's London to Lugano car run in August 1927 filmed by Harry Weinstein.

The Motor Cycling Club London Lugano Run [H.C.Reigate]

This two-part film shows the Motorcycling Club's London to Lugano car run in August 1927 filmed by H.G. Reigate in his Invicta car (YH 1305); accompanied by his travelling companion and navigator Mr M. Weinstein. The pair travel with a group of drivers in various cars on a journey through Europe.

[Crawley Events]

Amateur film-makers capture community-centred events in Crawley during the late 1920s and 1930s. Scenes include a parade commemorating the Coronation of King George VI in 1937.

Tour of Devon and Cornwall

This extended intertitled travelogue shows a group tour through the counties of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset visiting many noted landmarks that includes the Madron Wishing Well and Chapel, standing stones of the Mên-an-Tol, the coast at Lands End with the "First and Last House" and the Daily Mail sign; Exeter; St Ives; the town of Clovelly in Devon; the moorlands of Dartmoor and Exmoor; the seaside towns of Penzance, Dawlish, Plymouth and Newlyn.
