This film shows a voyage by Lord and Lady Baden-Powell visiting troops and companies of Scouts and Guides as they cruise the Baltic on the SS Calgaric for an ‘Argosy of Peace’. The film includes scenic views of the nations visited, with welcome parades and greetings by dignitaries, national costumes and uniforms, speeches, processions, dances, games and meals.

This film features journeys across Norway, and a short stay in Sweden. In 1949 Voss visits the Norheimsund settlement, the towns of Voss and Stalheim and the fjords of the area. From here he travels across the mountains to Oslo, where he stays with friends before moving on to Helsingborg and Gothenburg in Sweden. In 1951, Voss pays another visit to Oslo, as he does again in 1952, when he also travels to Granvin, Odda and across the mountains through the Telemark to Bø.
A film of Mr and Mrs Gowlland's holiday in Norway. Traveling around the countryside by car, they visit the city of Bergen; travel through the Jotunheimen mountains and past fjords including Hardangerfjord and Sognefjord and see a glacier and locals in traditional costume. They visit Lillehammer and Oslo, where they meet up with another couple and visit Vigeland Sculpture Park.
[Holiday in Scandinavia]
Film of members of the Gowlland family on holiday in Scandinavia, revisiting many of the sights they went to on their trip to Denmark in '52 and Norway in '54. In Denmark they pass through Ribe and Romo, go to Hans Christian Andersen's house in Odense and see the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen. In Norway, they go to the Holmenkollen ski jump, revisit the Vigeland Sculpture Park in Oslo, and take in the landscape and culture of the region.
