This film shows a couple travelling through the Swiss Alps towards Italy in an open top car. The couple visit a harbour and the Middle Bridge (Mittlere Brucke) in Basel over the Rhine. Shots of a mountain range near St Moritz, and a hotel surrounded by a snowy landscape are followed by a tour of Italy visiting Bologna and Florence.

The trip includes a flight aboard an aircraft to visit the Niagara / Horseshoe Falls and later the return trip on the RMS Aquitania. The colour has a red cast and is de-saturated.

This edited colour pre-Second World War film shows London's preparation for war during the Munich Crisis in 1938. Shelters, trenches and ready-stations are being constructed and installed in Central London parks. This is contrasted with scenes of everyday London life.

The final part of the film shows mixed views of the Suez Canal that includes the 1914-1918 War Memorial on West Bank, near Ismailia.
