This is the earliest example of a seaside publicity film in Screen Archive South East’s collection, dating from the mid 1920s. The film promotes Margate as a most fashionable seaside resort. The film is tinted and toned and has intertitles throughout.

“Lest We Forget” Disabled Soldiers Day Out At Margate
A profesionally-made film which records a trip to Margate by disabled veterans of the First World War. The men are guests-of-honour at a lunch hosted by the town's Mayor and Mayoress at the St George's Hotel, Cliftonville. This was the inaugral outing hosted by Margate's Lest We Forget Committee.

[East Northdown House]
This film, shows a large family gathering at East Northdown Farm, Kent where the family watch a Punch and Judy show in the garden. Two boys blow up balloons in front of the Punch and Judy box and the group sit around small tables in the garden for afternoon tea. The family also gather together for extended family photographs in front of the main house.
