Mr & Mrs Simpson visit the Summer Palace in Peking and enjoy a meal in a traditional Chinese restaurant. The film ends with a shot of a printed advert for the Bradford Dyers Association on a billboard.

Rural scenes and traditional farming practices are recorded in and around Reculver, Kent in the first part of the film. The second part features comparatively busier scenes from the market town of Richmond and coastal towns and villages on the North Yorkshire coast.

Captain C. R. Peckitt of the Royal Sussex Regiment records a family holiday to Sweden just prior to the outbreak of the Second World War. The holidaymakers visit Stockholm, go sailing on a yacht, traverse the locks on a canal on a steamer, and stop at Jönköping before returning home on the S.S. Britannia.
