[Hereford Cathedral; Churches; Cat; Rural and Coastal Views]

This film shows views of a rural countryside, including sheep being herded. Various shots of Hereford Town show the Cathedral, Prince of Wales Public House, the Old House and several shops. The second part has faded to a strong green tint, features panoramas at Portmeirion, including a view of the hotel and the stone boat in the harbour, along with the wreck of the original Amis Reunis (?).

[Family at the Seaside; Tea in the Garden]

This short film shows the Corder family on holiday in Eastbourne and Mrs Corder having tea in a sunny garden with another woman.

Family

This film shows a family group in their garden. Portrait style shots of several family members show a toddler in a pram, a young boy playing with a miniature lawnmower and wheelbarrow, and several women and men in outdoor clothing, standing smiling for the camera. There are scenes at the beach before returning to baby and garden scenes.

East Dean and Eastbourne

This edited black and white film was captured by Mr Corder while on holiday with Kathleen (his fiance) and her family(?) in Eastbourne, East Dean, Beachy Head & Birling Gap (East Sussex) and the surrounding countryside.

[Mr and Mrs Corder Wedding and Honeymoon]

The first part of this film shows the wedding or Mr Geoffrey Corder and his wife-to-be. The second part shows the couple on their Honeymoon in Devon or Cornwall (?), including seaside and village views. The couple visit a Butcher and go on a picnic, possibly in St. Ives (?).

[King George V Silver Jubilee]

This amateur, intertitled, film shows scenes from a tour, for the Silver Jubilee celebrations, in honour of King George V in 1935 between London and Harrow (?), following the completion of the church service in St Paul's Cathedral.

Rose Cottage - Norfolk

This deteriorated colour experimental (?) Kodachrome film follows Geoffrey Corder on holiday with his fiance and family in Lowestoft and in Norfolk, at a picnic, visiting a farm and on a beach. Lowestoft's Claremont pier (?) is seen along with views of an English market town and of the family's holiday home 'Rose Cottage'.

[Holiday in Eastbourne]

This film features the Corder family on holiday in Eastbourne. The family visit the village of East Dean, Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters seafront with the Belle Tout lighthouse on the cliffs above.

[King George VI Coronation and May Day Demonstration]

This black and white intertitled film shows the Coronation celebrations for King George VI at St Paul's Cathedral. This is followed by a tour of Central London in a car which includes views of a May Day Socialist demonstration march at Hyde Park. This film concludes with a family group watching the coronation procession from a building on The Strand.

Julia and Park

This tinted colour and black and white film shows everyday life for the Corder family, opening with the children playing in the garden, on a day out to a park and on a family picnic in the countryside.

Sandbanks [Dorset]

This edited black and white and colour film shows the Corder Family on Holiday in Dorset. The family take a boat trip to/from the Poole coast, spend time on the beach at Sandbanks and exploring the rural countryside.

Lab [Beach; Lancing College; Countryside]

This edited colour and black and white film shows the Corder family on an outing to a beach; Visiting Lancing College and having a family picnic in the countryside. Several military aircraft are spotted by the film-maker flying overhead whilst the children splash about in the sea.

[Lancing Beach Scenes in 1939]

This film shows the Corder family on the beach and picnicking in a field. The family lounge on the beach, paddle in the sea, write messages in the sand and play with the dogs on the beach. The family also have a picnic in the countryside.

[Lancing and Worthing Just Before the War]

This colour film shows the Corder family on holiday in Lancing and Worthing, West Sussex. The family sit on the beach eating ice cream and building sand castles. In the second sequence the family visit a pool and Peter Pan's boating pond in Worthing, driving wooden powered boats. Beach huts can bee seen in the background.
