The Woolsey family holiday in Scotland. Ian Woolsey, the son of the film-maker, skips through the family garden wearing a harlequin costume. They visit the beach at Nairn on the Moray Firth with friends, where they build sandcastles and play cricket, and picnic at Loch Ness. River, countryside and road views follow, as they journey from Loch Ness to the Kyle of Lochalsh up the A87, and to Inverness along the A890, past railway lines and beaches. Views of Inverness Castle close the film.

Produced by a New Zealand couple and donated to the citizens of Fernhurst, this colour film records an historical pageant put on by the village to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. There is a parade of queens from Mary Tudor to Queen Victoria, accompanied by Prime Minister Disraeli. This is followed by a parade of people in culturally stereotyped 'national' costumes (including some who have blacked-up) representing nations of the Commonwealth.
