Portrait of Penge
This amateur travelogue style documentary explores the town of Penge, on the fringes of South East London. Made as part of the Penge Rotary Club's exchange with a US Club, it shows the town, its people and local life prior to being swallowed up by boundary changes in Greater London. Included are views of the neighbouring Crystal Palace Park, BBC transmitters, gardens and the Lyceum Ballroom with Frank and Peggy Spencer's Ballroom Dancing team.

The first of these two amateur films contains home movie footage of a bees nest, the historic buildings of Cambridge and a family gathering in the garden of a large house. The second film presents images from Expo Sussex '68, an outdoor exhibition of local interest, including vintage motor vehicles, hot air balloons, bellringers and a helicopter display.

Away With the Wind
'Famous balloonists' at the Expo Sussex 1968 show their wares. Preparation work to get the balloons ready showing various teams in action. Hydrogen hot air balloons are filled and there is 'Afternoon Rope flying for the lucky few'. A balloon is seen taking off at Ardingly and various balloons seen in the air with spectators watching the spectacle.

An amateur film capturing some of the 1968 Sussex Expo at the Ardingly Show. The film, which includes intertitles, shows a range of vehicles being exhibited, a military exercise, a parade by Sussex Police as well as hot air balloons and parachutists in the sky above the showground.
An exhibition of wax work effigies that comes to life when a thief attempts to steal a diamond from a costume, in this colour film produced by the North Downs Cinematography Society in the late 1960s.

A flower festival held at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Mile Oak is captured in this amateur film by a member of the Brighton & Hove Cine Club. Flower arrangements are seen on display inside the church building; a poster outside advertises the festival. The film closes with shots of flowering plants in the church garden.
The Herne Bay Newsreel 1969 
One of a series of newsreels featuring events in the town of Herne Bay in 1969 and 1970. The film includes coastal protection works, the Hospital Fete, the Archbishop of Canterbury at a Reculver ceremony, then in 1970 sailing, the Carnival, the destruction of the pier pavilion, a Fete, Road development, an exhibition and market, tennis, and shops.
