This edited film shows events and family scenes as captured by Maurice Puttock, showing family life in Lusaka (now Zambia) in the late 1950s. Scenes include several noted visits from HM Elizabeth The Queen Mother and HM The Queen, Elizabeth II among others. It also shows birthdays and work trips to see the building of the Kariba Dam.

The film includes the winter snow, the Glenbervie Home 21st Anniversary, St. Bartholomew's annual church fete, the Herne Bay Sailing Club Firefly Festival, Beltinge Memorial Hall Fete, the carnival and the Kent County Agricultural Show held in Mote Park, Maidstone.

[Tangmere Aircraft films]
This amateur film shot by Flight Lieutenant Bernard Hammond features three Royal Air Force related events. The first is the last air show to be held at RAF Tangmere; the second is with the Air Training Corps gliding at Tangmere and the third is an Area Youth Parade at Chichester. The different events are denoted in the film by the use of handwritten intertitles.
