The family are then seen watching light aircraft on a grassy field, followed by portrait shots of a dog and views of a park with boating lake in West Germany.

This film shows scenes of Heidelberg Castle and Heidelberg Old Town in Germany, followed by shots of a snowy landscape. Mr Woodward's daughter is seen playing with their dog and walking in the countryside with Mr Woodward. An edited and titled travelogue film depicting a trip to Belgium, beginning with scenes of a visit to the grave of a relative at Woods Cemetery (First World War Allies Cemetery). The film also includes views of the St. Paul & St. Peter's Church in Ostend, the town of Damme, and the many historical sites of Bruges, including the Belfry, the Basilica of the Holy Blood, a canal boat ride, the Markt Square and Provincial Court.

The film showcases the work of a disabled group of adults creating a film to commemorate the event, using the photographs from the exhibition and their own personal stories. This film has opening and closing titles with credits, with a dubbed English translation.

Interviews with World War Two veterans and commemorative events taken fifty years after the D-Day landings are interspersed interspersed with wartime footage from the Imperial War Museum and Reuters film archives. They are asked what they were fighting for and whether it was worth it.
