[School children in playground; Wedding]
This amateur film captures scenes of children playing in the grounds of Fernhurst School in the late 1930s. Clearly excited by the presence of the film-maker, the children pose in large and small groups and play up for the camera. Scenes from a nearby wedding at the Parish Church are also recorded, as well as a football and netball match.

An amateur film-maker records his journeys around South East Asia, capturing on film the indigenous peoples, temples, dances, and landscape. The film contains the only known pre-war colour footage of some of the most renowned Balinese dancers, including I Ketut Marya (Mario).
This film shows the work of the Herne Bay A.R.P. service during the early years of the Second World War. ARP Members train for bomb and gas-attacks; practising extinguishing incendiary devices and simulating the treatment of casualties. The film also shows a large-scale dress rehearsal for a gas attack and a multi-service parade.
