This film features scenes from a farm at Sevington, near Ashford in Kent. The farmer and others pick crops by hand, the Brocklehurst family sit down to a picnic and men help to build a haystack. The end of the film captures Robert Brocklehurst and his mother next to a Christmas tree at their home in Mersham.

A magician's wife uses her husband's magic wand to help her remedy the mistakes she makes, and to overcome the obstacles she encounters, when making a Christmas cake. The film uses reverse-motion and trick editing in its portrayal of magic tricks.
This edited colour and black and white film shows the Giles' family in Surrey and on outings to West Sussex during the late 1940s. The film also includes races at Goodwood; the Olympic torch passing through Surrey; and the unveiling of a memorial gate at Prescott House (Bugatti Owners Club) designed by a member of the Giles family.
