The boys undertake camp chores that include washing dishes, preparing food, hauling wood for camp fires and building wooden structures to be used around camp. Upon returning from a walk, several older boys sit together on camp, with other adults. The group play a game of Rounders (?) formed of Boy Scout verses adult teams.

The film contains scenes of the older children giving gymnastic displays and a formal dance. The younger children receive toys from Father Christmas and eat Christmas dinners. The children perform a stage play, and boys have a pillow fight.

The Headmaster of Mile Oak Approved Boys School films his pupils building sand sculptures on the beach at Walton-on-the-Naze. The boys enjoy the amusements on the pier, including dodgems and a rollerskating rink, and swim in the sea. The film-maker also films his young grandchild as a baby, and later as a toddler exploring the grounds at the Martello campsite.

This amateur film with intertitles captures the 4th Woking Scout Troop camp at Tilford, Surrey in the summer of 1951. The film shows the boys setting up camp and preparing and eating a meal. Organised activities such as bridge building, raft making and a treasure hunt also feature; a special visitor - a member of the Scouts in Uganda - joins the camp.
