This film shows scenes from a VE day parade moving down a residential street, with men and women in uniform and a Scout troop, parading past the camera. Several vehicles follow with banners and decorations that includes several tanks, a bus, an ARP ambulance, fire engine and “Casualty Car”. The second film shows a family scene with a girl playing with a cat and two girls playing together in a garden.

The film is inter-cut with a couple sitting on a bench on Brighton seafront. A performance with ice dancers in costume includes a pantomime horse duo, two minstrels and a chorus line of girls. The final scenes shows the group of performers posing for portraits in a field.
