A short test film produced by the Bognor Regis Film Society in the making of a longer fiction film entitled Cross Currents. The film, recorded on location in a harbour, opens with members of the society in medium close-up talking to each other. Following this, scenes from the film are seen being acted out on board a tall sailing ship. The full film can be found on TID: 9871 - "Cross Currents".
[Family Scenes: Girl Dancing in Garden; Group]
This short film shows the family of Harry Guermonprez, co-founder of the Bognor Regis Film Society. A girl is seen dancing in a garden dressed as a forest sprite or fairy (normal speed and then in slow motion) followed by shots of a group of children and adults running down a hillside towards the camera.

Amateur film-maker Eric Sparks records the trains and stations of the Southern Railway Company, marking the moment when the first electrically powered trains traveled to Littlehampton and Bognor Regis in 1938. There is also colour footage of the Brighton Bell, images of maintenance being carried out on trains and carriages, bridge construction and the modern signal cabin at Brighton in operation.
News From Hollywood
Amateur fiction film about a Hollywood actress 'Rita Marblo' who visits Bognor Regis but hides from the press. Two plucky reporters from the local newspaper try a number of scams to get an interview or a photograph. They finally get an exclusive picture of her departing by air.
Death Let Loose
A fiction film about a scientist kidnapped by a group of Russian mobsters. A secret formula is stolen and espionage is suspected. A policeman is knocked out and later found dead on a beach. The scientist is forced to hand over the formula to the Russian mob, but a raid leads to the mob being caught in the act. This film is heavily damaged in the first part of the film.

This colour film shows the Hansford family at Gumber Farm near Slindon, West Sussex. It features children greeting the postman; trips to the seaside, work on the farm, tobogganing in the snows of 1940 and new born lambs the following spring.

Dorothy and Janet, the film-maker's nieces, are filmed riding their bicycles in a garden. A holiday to Cornwall is followed by images of children riding ponies along the beach at Bognor Regis. The film ends with images of women from Rutland Hall in Hove on a bus daytrip.

A murder mystery that takes place at the Theatre Royal. Famous tenor Maxwell Foster is murdered in his dressing room by Trevor 'Taffy' Jorden. When evidence is found that proves his guilt, Jorden frames his love rival Jack Merridew before committing suicide.

This short home movie features scenes of children playing in the garden of their family home at Bognor Regis. Two children and a toddler play together on a summers day; they are joined by their mother on a swing and are seen briefly at the end posing with their grandfather.
