This collection documents the work of the University of Brighton production unit for a period of over 30 years.
It is a cohesive collection recorded on many different tape formats ranging from the 1977 to 2006. This production unit employed professional producers, directors, camera operators, sound recordists, and a television engineer (who maintained and operated a professional edit suite).
Its programmes cover a wide range of subjects: complete programmes designed to augment teaching & learning on a wide range of subjects (from engineering, medical studies, language teaching, social studies, computer studies and the arts); recordings of inaugural professorial lectures, workshops, fashion shows and art exhibitions; video art and screen dance from the late 70s / early 80s; commemorative and promotional material prepared for the institution.
