We were contacted 2 years ago by a school teacher from Fairview School in Gillingham who had been donated archive film of school trips in the 1970s. The results: a Year 6 project, digitised film preserved for the future, oral history interviews conducted by the children, filmed and made into a documentary. The film along with the original archive films can be seen here on the school website Fairview Community Primary School
What a fantastic project which has opened up archive film to younger audiences, connected the children to the wider community and enabled them to see what their school and school trips were like over 40 years ago!
