21 September 4-5pm: ‘Pirates’ Word Buddy Club free event for 5-10 year olds.
21 September: Gill Draper from the British Association for Local History presents ‘Pirates of the South East – Real Lives c. 1300-1600’.
27 September: Martin Watts, specialist in maritime and naval history from Canterbury Christ Church University.
30 September: Paul Cullen, editor of the Kent Place-Names Survey, talks and performs.
11 October: Carolyn Oulton from Canterbury Christ Church University presents ‘all that rag-tag and bobtail down from town’ seaside reading for Londoners, from Dickens to Barbara Cartland.
18 October: Dr Frank Gray from Screen Archive South East explores maritime Kent on film with a look at a range of amateur and professional films throughout the 20th century.
