This edited colour and black and white film features a Scouting pack at the Twyford Scout Camp. The film opens with views of the River Thames, a lock surrounded by flowers and mixed views of a church. The film also includes views of the River Loddon and the Ford across the Old River, Twyford followed by mixed views of the Scouts setting up camp in a large field and playing games and sports with their families.
This film opens with picturesque views of flower beds either side of a Thames River lock (?) with swans and other birds and a wide view of the river with an island in the middle with close up views of a church.
The shot cuts to several Cubs standing in front of their tents, some dressed as girls, dancing and pulling faces at the camera, followed by mixed portrait shots of a group gathered around a camp fire, and a man carrying buckets across camp wearing only underwear. Two Scouts are seen scrubbing the camp table and a group of Scouts stand on parade outside their tent during an inspection.
The next part opens with a group of Rover Scouts splashing about and swimming in a river, a sign from 'Berks County Council' advises motorists about the depth of the Ford across a street, followed by a view of the Old River either side of the Ford.
The next sequence opens with a Scout leader exiting a house carrying drinks on a tray, cutting to shots of several Scouts making breakfast and lying in their tents. Colour views of a river and Lock follows, with flowers and grassy banks either side, returning to camp for a brief view of an older Scout shaving under a tree. Mixed shots then follow of various older Rover Scouts, Scout leaders and women walking across the campsite, several boys go swimming in a river, and several groups of adults and Scouts play ball games and sports in the field.
