This film follows the family on holiday in Maidencombe, Devon. The group are seen playing in a garden, taking a trip to the beach, touring the coastline on a speedboat and exploring the rural landscape by car.

The film opens with a coastal landscape shot through a window of a house where the children are seen playing a game of croquet in a garden. This is followed by views of the coastal and rural landscape. The camera then focuses on a man taking photographs with a camera.

In the next part (dark shots) the family are seen sitting in deck chairs in the garden, whilst the children play croquet. Mixed shots of the garden follow, including a water lily.

The next part shows a rocky coas. The family are shown making their way towards the shoreline to go for a swim. A close up of the family in the water is followed by a shot of the family on the beach from a cliff ridge above.

The family then take a boat trip, and on land they walk past a tea room. This is followed by several panorama shots of the rural landscape and scenes from the top of a rocky hill.

In the final section, the children are seen paddling small rafts in the water and the family sit in deck chairs on the beach. Some try and turn away from the camera. The family are then seen taking another trip on a speedboat. The landscape moves quickly past the camera.
