This edited film taken over several years, shows various Three Bridges Church trips and Christmas parties. The Sunday School children are taken on outings to Eastbourne and Littlehampton beaches and seaside attractions.
This edited film taken over several years, starting in the late 1940s and ending in 1957, shows various Three Bridges Free Church outings to Eastbourne and Littlehampton. The group of children and adults spend the trips swimming, paddling and sitting in deckchairs eating sandwiches and ice cream. There are views of: Butlin's Resort and fun fair in the distance. The children take to the pedalos, the fairground rides, donkeys on the beach and watch a Punch and Judy show. There is also a mixed cricket match; a Crawley Sisterhood trip to London with a Thames boat ride; a military parade [St Lawrence College CCF, Ramsgate?]; a trip to Herstmonceux Castle and a Harvest Festival service. The film closes with a compilation of a several Veterans' Christmas parties (1951-1953).
