Description

VE Day themed celebrations in Lydd involving a range of activities including: a sack race, a pageant, a procession and crowning of the Queen Elect, an assortment of floats (one a Dunkirk float), a military band and a children's fancy dress parade. Model yachts are raced on the water, followed by fancy dress bicycle relays and assault courses. Children's games, fancy dress netball with a hockey stick, more sack races and obstacle courses ensue. The film concludes with a bonfire and fireworks at the end of the day.
