This black and white film shows the family enjoying a day out on the beach horse riding and playing in rock pools. A young boy makes his horse walk backwards on the beach, whilst the rest of the family stand and talk. Another teenage boy stands astride a bicycle.
The next part of the film shows two small children and a woman in the back garden of a house, the sea can be seen through a hedge via a gate (Bracklesham?) The children are doing acrobatic moves, unsuccessfully.
More horse riding on the beach, as two young girls are being held by older children and adults. Elizabeth is seen aged in her late teens with other family members, riding a large horse on the beach. Elizabeth is wearing tailored horse riding jodhpurs and a jacket.
The section then moves back to the garden where two younger children are playing with a lady singing songs and dancing.
In the next scene two children are playing with boats on the beach ankle deep in a large rock pool, splashing about.
The next section opens with Elizabeth sitting on a horse on the beach, talking to another teenager. Two other children are playing in the sand dressed in swimwear. The family are then seen paddling with the children whilst the boys ride on horses.
The family are then seen drinking tea and eating sandwiches in a garden, sitting on cushions on the grass. The younger children are running about the garden attempting handstands and 'wheelbarrow' motions.
In the final section a small toddler is seen playing in the countryside accompanied by an adult pushing a pram.
