Scenes filmed by Mr. and Mrs. Rudd while on a caravan tour of Scotland, passing over rivers and through the mountainous landscape, taking picnics on the coast and camping by lochs.
Mr. Rudd lifts his young daughter down from a caravan door, attached to the back of a car. Two identical caravans are seen from a distance in a field. Loch views follow. The caravans are seen beside the water, their curved roofs and small square windows visible. A car pulls one of the caravans over the newly built River Etive Bridge at the top of Glencoe to cross the river. Now stationary, the caravan and car are seen as snowy mountains rise up behind. A couple push one of the caravans out of a muddy field where sheep are seen grazing. Women are seen with buckets of water, performing chores, while a man is seen chopping wood by a loch. Two women sit outside one of the caravans, talking together. Two men take it in turns to throw long tree trunks into the air. Sea views follow, in which a lighthouse is seen. The waves wash up and over the rocky coastline. A group of deer are seen from a distance, silhouetted against the water. A beach picnic follows, where the men lark around and inspect a rock pool. A fisherman throws his catch out of his boat and onto a wooden jetty, where they are gutted by another.
River views follow, in which a stone bridge with three arches stretches over the water at Stirling [?]. Back on the road, the car-drawn caravans meet a steam roller and a horse and cart. They drive over rubble on the road by a lake. An old thatched cottage is seen. The cars are seen pulling the caravans behind, shot from the side of the road. Waterfall views follow, the water crashing over dark rocks. The cars drive over further bridges and rivers and past houses. One of the caravans is seen outside a country house. Three women sit on the steps and an older couple and young children are seen. On a walk, a man is seen sitting on a rocky outcrop before the camera, now in his hands, follows a woman as she walks through the landscape.
