Summary

A film showing scenes of the Volk's Railway on Brighton seafront with sound recorded on site, taken by B. C. Suter in the 1990s.

Description

A noisy journey is shown on Volk's Electric Railway, as an electric car passes along the beach, navigating through a pedestrian crossing, the Paston Place sheds at Peter Pan's Playground Station, through to the Banjo Groyne at East Brighton. The train blasts its horn as it passes along the track. The film finishes with a brief shot of an illustrated drawing of 'The Pioneer' electric car that ran from the Banjo Groyne (discussion of 'The Pioneer' is on TID: 7221).
