This film shows the Mombasa Yacht Club Golden Anniversary celebration with games and a regatta display with the attendees dressed in fancy dress clothing from 1910. The next part of the film shows a family group on safari touring various national parks in Kenya, a tea plantation owned by the Brook Bond Group and a brief visit the Victoria Falls in Zambia.
This colour film opens with a close up shot of the front cover of the Mombassa Yacht Club programme for the 'Fiftieth Anniversary - Golden Jubilee Regatta - 15th to 18th April 1960', followed by various shots of boats and ships on the water adorned with flags including 'M2605' (HMS/ HMEAS Bassingham?). On land, a group of yacht club guests dressed in period clothing stand posing for the camera. The film also shows several activities that includes a tree planting ceremony and several competition events; closing with a series of portrait shots of the all male club members sat in rows for group photographs.
In the next section a group go on a tour of the countryside visiting a working tea plantation. A sign 'Kenya Tea Company Limited - Brooke Bond Group - Engineering Department - Kerenga Division' (also on TID 7127) is followed by views of the landscape and mountain range with snow capped top. The sequence closes with a close-up shot of a working African elephant lifting tree trunks and various wild animals filmed from a moving safari vehicle (shaky).
A brief shot of the: 'P.W.D Ferry' with cars driving off an open platform, is followed by a a sign for the 'Blue Lagoon' and a family group sitting in a beach bar on the coast.
An intertitle: 'East Africa Land of Sunshine - At the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro' opens into a longer sequence of the 'Kibo Hotel', revealing exterior shots of the hotel and gardens with a waterfall; followed by a wide shot of Mt Kilimanjaro and a scene of a village market or square, with locals selling their produce dressed in traditional clothing and jewellery.
The next section with scenes of a safari tour in the 'Royal Tsavo National Park', shows several large birds, giraffes and elephants filmed from a moving vehicle (out of focus and shaky). At 'Mzima Springs' a tourist sign lists the distances to various landmarks and lodges, closing with shots of water animals and views of the family passing through a rural checkpoint. 'The End'.
