Gladys Bishop films her grandchildren riding horses in a paddock, and her daughters and their children at Selsey beach, in 1952.

A girl rides a pony across a dry field. The horse begins to canter, another girl running beside with reigns in hand. Two young boys and their mother, in round sunglasses, wave from the paddock gate. One of the boys takes his turn to ride the horse, a trainer running beside. At the seaside, the children dig in the sand at the base of a groyne with their metal spades. Their mother and aunt, daughters of the film-maker, lie back in deck chairs further up the beach. Two of younger children take a ride on a white shetland pony in a field.
