The gardens of Brighton and Hove, including Pavilion Gardens, Victoria Gardens and the Willow Pattern Garden at Preston Park, filmed by Michael Gillings in the mid 1960s. Also included are views of a domestic garden in Hove.

The Dome and Royal Pavilion are shown in slow panning footage. Architectural details are seen in zoom. Victoria Gardens, looking towards St. Peters Church, are in full bloom, cut through with slanting flower beds in yellow and red. The 1920s mock Tudor building at Victoria Gardens is seen. Flowers are shown in close up. Visitors walk around the fountain at Old Steine, surrounded by flower beds and benches. A domestic garden on Bishop's Road in Hove is also in full bloom, its flower beds bursting with pinks, yellows and reds. Lily pads rest on the water of the pond at the Willow Pattern Garden at Preston park. Visitors walk on the paths and steps that curve up the slope.
