Part II of the Gillings' coach holiday through Europe to Austria took them to Lucerne, Switzerland, 'famous for its covered foot bridge with paintings located in the roof arches.' According to Michael Gillings, the amateur film-maker, 'The Ladies were not happy this day as it was early closing day for the shops in Lucerne. Needless to say their partners were quite relieved.' The coach party are seen, sitting by a lake and visiting the town's architectural sights. Their bright blue coach is also shown, parked at the side of a road. Footage taken from the front of the coach as it drives to Lichtenstein and back to Oostende, and from the ferry crossing to the White Cliffs of Dover, is also included.
