This family film shows several people gathered in the shade of a tree in a garden followed by a series of shots of a family gathered following a Christening at a church, as filmed by Ernest Shippam in the 1950s. (This film continues from TID: 6494)
This film opens with shots of a vicar or priest sitting with a group of women under a tree in a garden, as they drink from tea cups; followed by scenes of a young boy running around in the garden. A series of portrait shots include the vicar walking with the family group, holding the baby and passing it to its mother, the group posing and smiling and a young girl and boy holding the child. Scenes from the same Christening day are also seen on TID 6494.
The final sequence shows Mrs. Shippam with her daughter, walking in a flowering garden passing a large brown guinea pig between them, a man (C.E Shippam ?) and a girl (Shippam's daughter?) with a dog jumping over flower beds and Mrs Shippam and her daughter passing a ball between them.
