Various scenes filmed by Ernest Shippam in the 1950s showing employees arriving at the Shippam factory on bicycles. There are several street scenes filmed from one of the buildings, followed by family portraits taken in their garden on Crawley Road. The shots have some fogging throughout, with various degrees of effect.
A green bus stands outside a building. Children on bicycles ride past. Men and women bustle through a gate in both directions; they walk or push bicycles. Some stand outside the gates, shot from a distance.
The second scene taken at the Shippam family's Cawley Road residence, shows a series of portraits of a woman in her forties accompanied by an older woman, leave a conservatory to enter the garden. They repeat this action. Two girls ride around a garden on bicycles, play together with a ball and dance around accompanied by other family members The girls wear pastel coloured patterned skirts and cardigans.
