Local and family footage, of activity in the grounds of Foxhunt Manor at Foxhunt Green, and a fete in Waldren [?], and a rabbit shooting party, in 1930 [?]. Footage, taken by Eugene Oakshott, includes portraits of the subjects involved.
A young child, Elizabeth stands in her play pen in the garden of Foxhunt Manor, the family residence, waving to the camera before throwing all her toys over the top onto the lawn. A baby, Corinne, is bathed in a small tub inside. Eugene's son Harry drives a 1926-built 3 litre Bentley motorcar around the drive.
Three female family members, including Flo, Eugene's wife, sit in a living room, knitting and reading in armchairs. A child rides a horse in the grounds of Foxhunt Manor, and leads a pony across a paddock by a rope. Farmhands stand atop a 15 ft high bale of hay, bringing up more from carts pulled by shire horses.
Fair scenes follow. Swingboats and a merry-go-round attract visitors to the village green, where a motorcar pulls a man, holding a rope and sitting on a board, around a track. Visitors are seen, talking together.
Scenes filmed at a rabbit shoot close the film. Rabbits are strung up along a fence. Men, wearing short trousers and carrying shotguns, stand together in a wooded area. Several portraits of men attending the hunt, talking and smiling, follow.
