An amateur home movie from the late 1950s featuring the Burns family on a group outing to Chessington Zoo and relaxing on Bognor Regis beach.
[Not in online clip] A family outing to Chessington Zoo on a 'Southdown' bus, with shots of a large group waiting at the side of a road, and the main gate of Chessington Zoo. The children play on the different rides, amusements (very dark) and Chessington Zoo miniature land train. Several men stand around drinking pints of bitter. Scenes of the animals in their enclosures include: a monkey, flamingos, polar bear and sea lions
[In online clip] In the last part of the film the Burns family are seen on the beach at Bognor Regis. The children run around on the beach and play with a beach ball; their parents sit at the top of the beach on the shingle, in front of some beach huts.
