This short film shows a cross-channel trip from Dover to Calias. The film shows views taken on board the Royal Daffodil ferry, the local sights and landmarks of Calais (Hotel de Ville, Town hall and Tour du Guet tower). There are also scenes of the area around Dover; a visit to Deal Castle, Peter Pan's Playground and the South East coast of England.

The film begins at Gravesend Pier, aboard the MV Royal Daffodil for a day return, without passports, to Calais. The family are seen wandering about the town with its famous clock tower and see blocks of new apartments while shops display prices both in Francs and sterling. Returning home the film captures the port and sunset. Next the Green family are seen visiting Deal where they tour the town and the castle and later have a packed beach. The film also shows Folkestone Lido as well as the children's funfair at Peter Pan's Playground and a seaside cafe.
