A compilation of silent scenes featuring the daily activities of the children at the Pestalozzi village at Sedlescombe. The children perform native dances, build a bonfire, help with construction work and take part in classroom activities.


The film opens with a shot of two flags. Children perform a native dance. Clapper: "Treffpunkt [Meeting point], 11/11/72". A close-up shot of a Buddhist alter. Black and white shots of a tractor and trailer; children sit on the trailer. They dump old wooden furniture from the trailer into a field. Colour shots of building work taking place; children help to install a water tank on the roof. Black and white shots of a classroom; the teacher talks to the class and the children read from textbooks. Shots of children doing artwork, making sculptures and drawing. They eat rice with chopsticks at lunchtime. More shots of a Buddhist alter. Colour shots of the alter and children dancing. Clapper: "Treffpunkt, 11/11/72". More shots of classroom activities and a boy plays a xylophone. The children use the dumped wooden furniture to create a bonfire which is lit. The film ends with brief shots of an alter and classroom activities.
