The first compilation shows a BR Standard 4MT 4-6-0 No. 75074 passing through shot with tender and carriages (some damage to film). The next scene opens on board a train from the footplate, inter-cut with views of the same engine next to the track. Several stations are seen including Oxted, as the train passes through.

The second part shows the "LCCB Kentish Venturer Rail Tour" badge on the side of "30782" "Sir Brian" leaving London Victoria on route to Ashford. No. 31263 is filmed sitting at a station in falling snow with carriages, followed by scenes board the 31263 as it makes its way through the Kent Countryside. Later views show just the engine with Kent tour badge. Views show No. 30926 engine and carriages passing through a station with Kent tour badge amidst falling snow. Shots follow of a train passing through a snow covered landscape from onboard a carriage.

Intertitle: "Bowaters' Narrow Gauge Railway at Sittingbourne Kent". Locomotive: "Superb" 0-6-2T seen passing over a bridge with "Monarch" pulling carriages. "Conqueror" shunting along a track; "Excelsior" with engine driver on a track; "Jubilee" on a track with close-up of the wheels; "Superb" and "Conquerer" engines stationary on track; "Unique" pulling empty freight carriages; "Monarch" and "Premier" hauling freight.

The final film opens with a sign: "Havant for Hayling Island". Engines No. "32650" and "32678" passing along a track. No. "32661" pulling carriages and shots from onboard, passing a local green livery bus stopped at a level crossing on route to Havant.
