Members of the Cosgrove family are filmed enjoying outings and holidays to sandy beaches, London and Devon, participating in scouting activities and playing in the snow in this home movie compilation.
A crowd of people watch a cricket match taking place on a sandy beach, and children participate in a sandcastle building competition. Elsewhere, members of the film-maker's family play games on the beach, swim in the shallows and search rock pools. They are also filmed ascending the steep, narrow cobbled streets of Clovelly on donkeys.
Members of the film-maker's family take tea at an outdoor cafe before feeding the pigeons in Trafalgar Square. Children and adults pose for the camera in a garden. Boys are filmed riding their bicycles along an alleyway. Scouts parade with flags through a town to attend an outdoor meeting - they are later filmed on a camping trip. Thick snow covers the garden and streets outside the film-maker's house, and children take the opportunity to have a snowball fight.
