Summary

Footage of Andrew in 1963 before his little sister is born, playing on the beach and in the garden with his father.

Description

Andrew, aged eighteen months, walks towards the camera on Brighton's pebble beach. His father holds him in the water, as the breakers wash over them. His grandmother pushes him on a swing in the garden. He jumps off, running to the camera. He plays in the garden, seen from a first floor window. He eats from a plate of food in the garden with his father, grabbing a spoonful before bringing the plate up to his face. In the family living room, he is filmed holding a loaf of bread, biting bits off to chew. His father lifts him up, balancing the child on his feet, and pushes him across the lawn on a toy truck in the sunny garden. The film closes with footage of Andrew standing before the camera, smiling sweetly.
