Amateur film with intertitles throughout of scenes in Sussex and Hampshire, and holidays abroad, including; Silver Jubilee celebrations at Seaford Salts recreation ground; planes at Gatwick Airport; Naval and passenger ships at Portsmouth Harbour; crowded beaches and day trips in Mallorca.


A hand drawn title reads: “1974 Sept. Shags feathering and sun bathing - Seaford. Newhaven Bridges. Old and new". The former is turned by capstan to allow a coaster to pass; the latter is shown under construction. The British Rail car ferry 'Senlac' swings off her berth in river, and is shown bow-on to camera. A bird stands on a pole in the water. Boats leave Newhaven harbour, including the “Chichester Star”. An inter-title reads: “20 February 75. Gatwick 8.30 am. station near Firle Beacon”. Followed by views of the downs. A further title reads: “9 May 75. Bentley Wild Fowl all feathered” followed by views of the birds at Bentley Wild Fowl and Motor Museum. An other title reads: “June 75. Our blackbird”.

An inter-title reads: “Holiday in Austria 14/8/76 Farewell to BA’s cat (13 Sept. 75)” followed by views of a motorway and a procession.

The next title reads: “‘77 A visit to Gatwick” and there are views of a plane in the air. This is followed by scenes of hand gliding at Beachy Head, the Hovercraft at Southsea, canoeists, a sailing boat, the Sealink ferry, and "warship 101 coming into Portsmouth”

The next scenes are of Seaford's Silver Jubilee celebrations at Seaford Salts Recreation Ground. The Dagenham Girl Pipers band play, sailing boats from the local sailing club are filmed and the Newhaven new lifeboat is seen. This is followed by a parachute display by the army.

The last scenes are of a holiday to Mallorca in August 1977. There are scenes of fishermen at work in in Cala Bona Harbour. This is followed by beach scenes, mountain views and scenes of the town of Soller. After a boat trip there are views through the mountains, and views of the hotel swimming pool.
