This short amateur film features a Summer Fair organised by Holy Cross Church, North Bersted. The fair was held in the garden of the Church House and the film shows the stalls, activities and visitors to the fair. The children take part in a fancy dress competition, perform a tune with hand bells and the adults sit down to afternoon tea.

The film opens with a shot of a church notice board: "Holy Cross Church North Bersted" and a banner: "Fair Here This Saturday 2.00pm". Shots of stalls set up in the garden of Church House on Chichester Road. The stalls are mainly manned by older people. Ladies lay out cups and saucers on a table ready to serve customers. Shots of a side stall with a white mouse; a man serves ice cream from a freezer. Shots of a Vicar and children dressed in fancy dress costumes; they stand in a line and wave at the camera. Shots of women counting money on the stalls and people sitting down to afternoon tea at tables arrange on the lawn. Shot of the banner and bunting outside the church; a chalk board advertises the fete and entry fee. Shots of a man serving a woman at a tombola stall and women posing for the camera. Shots of a man holding a white mouse with numbered sticks in his hand. More shots of a Vicar and a child dressed in a nurses uniform; a baby sleeps in a pram. Smartly dressed children ring hand bells. More general shots of the fair, including the children in fancy dress and women waving at the camera. A young boy throws darts at a side stall. The film ends with shots of a man at a stall.
