Colour footage of the 1962 Dolphin Fair in Haywards Heath. The film features images of the day's events, including the preparations and a parade of floats moving through the town streets.

Stallholders and volunteers are filmed setting up the ground in preparation for the Dolphin Fair. Marquees, stalls and games are erected. The first event of the day is a held within one of the marquees where children from a Sunday School wear fancy dress in aid of children with hearing difficulties. A marching band leads the parade of floats through Haywards Heath. The British Legion and the Mid-Sussex Caledonian Society are amongst the organisations represented in the parade. The Dolphin Fair is underway - children participate in a fancy dress competition, Miss Dolphin is awarded her prize-winning cup, and visitors watch a judo display.
