An amateur fictional film produced by the Eastbourne Cine Group. A killer on the run from the police attempts to take a young woman hostage in a bid to escape. His plan is cut short when she gains the upper hand.


A title screen reads: "Eastbourne Cine Group presents". There is the sound of a train while a man turns the pages of a book. A page reads: "..and other stories".

There are shots of a busy shopping street [Terminius Road] with a close-up of the Midland Bank. A bell tolls 3 o'clock. Close-up of a gun. Frantic music plays. Shots of people walking along a street; a man enters a phone box. Shot of the front of a newsagents, poster: "Bank Murder". Close-up a newspaper article: "Bank Murder". Shots of a man's feet, as he runs through undergrowth. Shot of a train, onboard a man enters a compartment offering refreshments to passengers. Another man sitting opposite a woman, writes a note and hands it to the woman, he then points a gun at the woman. The woman holding the note on her book, talks to the man before offering her crime novel to the man to read the end of the story. The book is titled "The Gunman & the pickpocket and other stories". The woman pickpockets the man and now holds the gun which is pointing at the man. Title: "The End".
