A multigenerational group are filmed outside their beach hut on Bognor Regis beach. The adults and children swim in the sea, build sandcastles and relax on deckchairs. A couple of the children also take pony rides along the sandy beach. The filmmaker also films a high-speed air race which takes place over the coastline (The Schneider Trophy?) .

The garden of a family home plays host to games of cricket. The children play with each other and with their toys. One boy has a model aeroplane - he is later filmed in his Scouts uniform. Portraits of the various participants are filmed.

Girls play lawn tennis at their private school, and perform synchronized swimming in its indoor pool. The filmmaker's daughter is filmed in a dance solo on the school's indoor stage.
