Scenes of the Staley family sailing in the Chichester Harbour waters around Itchenor relaxing and having afternoon tea aboard the sailing boat Kingfisher among others, diving into and swimming in the water and playing on the sands in the harbour. On the beach the family play a game of cricket with a tennis racket (Pam, Dr Robert, Ralph and an older man), and swim in the sea to climb back aboard Kingfisher.
Several shots include reverse filming techniques of Ralph and Dr Robert appearing to dive into the water and back out, and playing leapfrog in reverse. Dr Robert teaches Pam to row a boat, whilst a flock of gulls circle around the Kingfisher.
The family are seen cleaning the cups and plates over the side of the boat using sea water and a large brush.
Back on the shore, a man in a waistcoat and cap stands and talks to Nellie, followed by shots of Nellie talking to several ladies outside a house next to the harbour.
The last sequence of shots show several ships under full sail, possibly taking part in a race (?), ending as the family are seen boarding a dingy tethered to the Kingfisher.
